About us
Barnhart's Barbershop is a queer, family-owned shop on the Denton square, run by Gary and Natalie Barnhart since 2022. It started with one chair. Now there's a team of sixteen barbers, and everyone's welcome.
Natalie runs Barnhart's Nail Studio in the back of the shop, so there's a good chance you'll see Mama and Papa during your visit.

We're open later than any barbershop in Denton, until 10 most nights. Walk-ins are always welcome. Haircuts, fades, beard work, straight razor shaves, and kids' cuts, all a couple of blocks from UNT and TWU at 110 W Oak St.

We're proud to be part of Denton. We do monthly free haircuts with Our Daily Bread and partner with Story Walk on the Square. We've teamed up with the MLK Jr. Center, Rivera Elementary, and LaGrone Academy for back-to-school haircuts, and worked with LaGrone Academy seniors who made commercials for us two years running. We sponsored Denton Bike Night for two years and a local comedy night for a year, and for the past three years we've hosted Decade's Dance Party, a monthly night at Dan's Silverleaf. We've donated to DMAC, Pridenton, Denton County Friends of the Family, Deep in the Heart of Denton, Outreach Denton, Polacon, Dentonpalooza, and more.
